5 PILLARS OF HEALTH

PHYSICAL WELLNESS

Dr. Cas has spent his career developing, refining and implementing his 5 Pillars of Health and Wellness© to help guide his patients to their optimal well-being.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL WELLNESS

Dr. Cas has seen significant time and resources wasted on preventable disorders in the form of time off from work, and the cost of doctors’ visits and medications. Many of these disorders can be managed or avoided with simple diet and exercise changes, which is why physical wellness is one of Dr. Cas’ important pillars to health.

a personalized plan for Physical wellness

Each patient is completely unique, and Dr. Cas collaborates with his patients to understand their goals, their challenges and their bodies. He may utilize tools such as genetic SNP testing to determine what food and exercise is best for a particular individual. With that information in hand, Dr. Cas recommends healthy lifestyle changes to help his patients reach their health goals.

The right Food for you

Most people understand how important good, clean food is to optimal health and wellness. Food has a significant impact on hormones, sleep, genetics, mood, immune system, and much more.

However, some people will react negatively to even good foods, usually in the form of inflammation. Dr. Cas uses the latest, evidence-based methods, such as RAST Food Intolerance Testing, to identify foods that may be causing problems. By eliminating these foods for 30 to 60 days, he has seen his patients’ guts heal and their bodies begin to run more optimally.

Dr. Cas also works to connect his patients with personal trainers, dieticians, weight loss educators and other complementary care providers to improve their physical wellness and help them reach their goals.

Living Consciously

Physical wellness is about more than food and exercise. It also extends to the way we think – or don’t think. It’s all too easy to fall into the habit of “unconsciously” living: mindlessly overeating, not taking the time to thoroughly chew and enjoy our food, sitting on the couch for hours in the evening, and putting off exercise until it is too late in the day are a couple of examples.

Dr. Cas takes the time to understand how his patients’ habits are affecting their physical health, and offers compassionate collaboration to help them make changes to enhance their health and wellness.

tapping into inner motivation

Dr. Cas prides himself on taking the time necessary to understand each patient, having honest conversations, and providing the tools his patients need to live their optimal lives. He also understands that, at the end of the day, it is up to his patient to engage, commit and take the steps needed to achieve their physical wellness goals. He works collaboratively with his patients to find and tap into their own inner motivation, and reminds them that consistent movement in the right direction – even small, simple steps – is key to success.
